Between the ongoing devastation on FTX, its former CEO Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) was summoned by one of Voyager Digital’s unsecured creditors, to appear in court in the next week about remote deposition.
Voyager creditors submitted a filing on Feb 18 in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
The filing states that Voyager Digital has served a “Subpoena to Testify at a Deposition in a Bankruptcy Case (or Adversary Proceeding) on Samuel Bankman-Fried.” It has requested him to produce all requested “documents and communications”, no later than Feb 20, 2023.
Voyager Digital also asked him to appear for a remote deposition on February 23, 2023.
The legal action comes after the filing submission on Feb 6 that Voyager’s attorneys had served a subpoena to Bankman-Fried as well as Alameda CEO Caroline Ellison, FTX co-founder Gary Wang, and FTX’s head of product Ramnic Arora.
The strings of subpoenas started after Judge John Dorsey had allowed FTX debtors to issue subpoenas for information and documents from former FTX colleagues and Bankman-Fried’s relatives.
