Notorious culture collectibles company for pop culture, Funko announced the launch of new Digital Pop, digital collectibles in the form of NFTs based on the fictional web series “House of the Dragon”.
Funko introduces the Targaryen family into its virtual Funko lineup, which contains animated versions of Daemon, Rhaenyra, Viserys, and other fan-favorite characters. The sale of digital collectibles will be commended exclusively on Feb 28 from the NFT platform droppp.io. This will be the first series of ‘House of The Dragon X Funko’.
The collection will join the bandwagon of earlier NFT collections from the pop culture brand, including Game of Thrones, DC, Power Rangers, Transformers, and so on. The vinyl figurines of these collections have remained highly sought-after in the market for an extended period of time. NFTs unlock new ways for fans to collect their favorite Funko Pops.
The ‘House of The Dragon X Funko’ series will be available in two distinct packages: a standard pack featuring 5 Digital Pops priced at $9.99, and a premium package that includes 15 Digital Pops and is priced at $29.99. Every package will be limited to 31,250 sets.
If the buyer gets lucky, fans will have a chance to reveal one of the six rare Funko Digital Pops. It will be redeemable for a matching limited-edition physical piece. The list of redeemable “House of the Dragon” Pop figures include “Rhaenyra donning the white dress and red jewels she wore during her royally bloody wedding; an eyeless Viserys in his golden crown; Aemond and his sapphire eye; Daemon in his samurai-inspired armour; and Sir Criston Cole boasting luscious locks”.
Last year, Funko launched a ‘Game of Thrones’ collection.
The first season of House of the Dragon was launched in August 2022 and received a colossal response. The script for the next season is almost done, according to the writer Sara Hess.
