A controversial Youtuber and espionage in the world of crypto scams, Coffeezilla accused legendary mixed martial art (MMA) champion Khabib Nurmagomedov of allegedly having a connection with an NFT scam. However, this spy story sounds indigestible.
In Oct 2021, Khabib joined hands with a bitcoin mining firm, GoMining, to launch an NFT collection. The NFT collection website states that the NFT will provide access to Khabib’s private club and event, which he organises several times a year, as well as the ability to mine bitcoin.
GoMining is promoting an NFT collection as a “limited-edition” and most profitable collection among GMT’s NFTs. Every NFT has a computing power of 29 TH/s and an energy efficiency of 35 W/TH. The hash rate represents Khabib’s historic career in the professional MMA championships, as he is undefeated in all 29 matches with no losses. That made him the longest-reigning UFC Lightweight Champion ever.
Khabib has promoted its upcoming NFT collection on Twitter. A day after the tweet, Coffeezilla sneaked into the reply and advised Khabib to return to the ring if he needed “money”.
But, Coffeezilla seems to have forgotten the huge fanbase of Khabib, which instantly came to defend their star. Also, Coffeezilla did not disclose the reason behind its claim and called the NFT collection a scam.
Earlier, Coffeezilla put allegations about the NFT scam by promoting “CryptoZoo” on another popular YouTuber, Logan Paul. In response to allegations, Logan Paul had filed a complaint related to defamation against Coffeezilla, which he withdrew afterwards.
