The leading cryptocurrency exchange Bybit announced the suspension of USD deposits via wire transfer including SWIFT bank transfers until further notice citing service outages from its end-point processing partner.
Withdrawals through wire transfer will be halted on March 10, 2023, at 12 AM UTC, so users should withdraw any amount before that.
Users can continue to deposit USD using their credit cards or the Advcash Wallet as an alternative.
Nonetheless, despite Bybit’s assurances that user funds are “safe and secure,” it advises customers who intend to withdraw USD to do it “as soon as possible to avoid potential disruptions.”
Last month, Binance announced Signature Bank won’t support transactions below $100K. Certain individual users, apart from their corporate accounts, are not able to use SWIFT bank transfers to purchase or sell crypto for amounts under $100,000.
