As the Arbitrum airdrop is nearing its launch date, scammers are more rampant than ever to take advantage of the situation. The community is alerting everyone to stay alert for any such fake airdrops of ARB tokens.
Just a few days back, Arbitrum announced the airdrop of ARB Token and its transition to DAO. Arbitrum users will receive 11.5% of the total ARB token supply via the airdrop which will commence on March 23, 2023.
A lot of fake ARB airdrops are already circulating causing harm to the users. Blockchain security firm Redefine reported a fake Arbitrum airdrop website impersonating the official one.
Certik reported about a fake Arbitrum Twitter account that was advertising an ARB token airdrop. The security firms alerted the users to not interact with such websites as any click will lead to the draining of their wallet.
Web3 anti-scam tool Scam Sniffer alerted the community that it detected 273 phishing sites related to Arbitrum ahead of the airdrop.
This is not the end of it so the community needs to be on its toes to not even accidentally click on any fraudulent links ahead of the airdrop. Only use Arbiturm’s official website, and refer to their official announcements if you have any doubts related to the airdrop.
Stay Safe!!
