Controversial crypto exchange Bitzlato announced its users could now access 50% of their funds from the platform.
In a Telegram message, Bitzlato stated users could now withdraw the funds using their email addresses that were specified during registration.
Bitzlato users need to go to the @bz_phoenix_bot and press the start button. The “Web/Mobile” button will appear in the bot, they need to specify their email address.
After the email verification process, a code is created for transferring funds. This code is sent as a link to the specified email.
If the user made a mistake and entered an email that they do not have access to, then they can try again after 24 hours. Transfer of funds is possible only to the account on which the operation of the transfer was requested.
Bitzlato stated it is necessary to send funds to a cold wallet first, after which the users can try to send the smallest amount to centralized or decentralized services.
The seized exchange warned that users should initially send the lowest amount to any service to make sure everything will be ok. All the user withdrawals will be processed in Bitcoin.
The minimum withdrawal amount is 0.001 BTC and the commission is 0.0003 BTC. “We cannot guarantee that a third-party service will not stop you from using AML protocols,” Bitzlato added.
In January, Bitzlato founder was arrested in Miami for laundering $700 million after French authorities and the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) of the U.S. Department of the Treasury took action together.
In an interview, another co-founder, Anton Shkurenko, said they were planning on shifting Bitzlato to Russia and restarting activities there. By the beginning of April 2023, Bitzlato hopes to offer a peer-to-peer (P2P) cryptocurrency trading service.
