Canada’s 24-years old self-proclaimed Crypto King, Aiden Pleterski was kidnapped, tortured, and beaten up for ransom in December, revealed in the latest trustee report from bankruptcy proceedings against him.
Last August, Pleterski was declared bankrupt and now faces allegations of operating an investment scam, according to sources.
Pleterski had told investors he would pool their money together and invest it in cryptocurrency and foreign exchange positions. Pleterski had informed his investors that he would combine their funds and use them to invest in positions related to foreign exchange and cryptocurrency.
Authorities investigating Aiden Pleterski’s embezzlement activity found that he only invested 2% out of the $41.5 million that investors gave him and most of it was spent on his extravagant lifestyle. This includes renting private jets, and purchasing luxurious vehicles such as “a Ferrari, four Audis, three Lamborghinis, three McLarens, a Land Rover, and a BMW.”
The report says Pleterski got kidnapped in the middle of the night last December, relating to his father’s statement. His father said to the trustee that he was driven around Southern Ontario, beaten, and tortured.
Pleterski’s father informed the trustee, “They basically held him for approximately three days, drove him around different various parts of Southern Ontario, beat him, tortured him, allowed him to make specific phone calls to specific people only.”
Pleterski’s landlord also allegedly mentioned that Pletersk called him for $3 million to give to his kidnappers.
However, the document said that the kidnappers released him after a few days on the condition that he would return with money and will stay away from the Police.
