One of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges Binance initiate another step towards growth as it launches the latest blockchain hub in Georgia.
Binance is maintaining its leading position in promoting blockchain education around the world through the new launch of a regional hub in the Georgia region, according to a press release, published on Monday, March 27.
By creating the web3 hub in Georgia, Binance exchange focuses on drawing talent to Blockchain, supporting digital finance education, and fueling Georgia’s crypto industry.
As per Binance, its Georgia branch has a workforce of 25 individuals who integrated with both private and public sectors to coordinate hackathon events and educational programs. Additionally, Binance’s new regional hub targets to acquire dozens more jobs by 2023 ends.
This launch could be possible after several collaborations including CityPay for crypto payments, integration with the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA), and an incredible Charity program to promote woman-focused Web3 education and a BNB Chain hackathon.
The Binance Regional head, Vladimir Smerkis, stated, “For Binance, Georgia is an important point on our map. To date, we have held three community meetups here, with more than 2,000 people attending in total.”
As for the regional hub, Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance, once met with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, when CZ visited there in November 2022. The meeting once again highlighted Georgia’s status as a hub for advanced financial technologies.
