The popular clothing brand Aeropostale has filed a trademark application to enter web3 space through NFT and Metaverse.
On 24 March, Aeropostale submitted an application for a trademark to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to sell their products in the form of NFTs.
USPTO Licensed Trademark Attorney – Mike Kondoudis has revealed the trademark appeal on his tweet on March 29. As per the tweet, the clothing retailer has filed trademark applications including “AEROPOSTALE”, “AEROPAX” and “AEROWORLD” to experience the NFT and Metaverse.
According to the trademark application, retailer Aeropostale signifies that the company will present its products for use in the digital world. The initiative will include clothing, footwear, eyewear, bags, art and sporting goods and equipment in a virtual environment.
Brand NFTs intend to offer authorized multimedia such as artwork, text, audio records and videos. With the use of blockchain technology, Aeropostale can further enhance its well-known brand in the Metaverse space.
In addition, retailer Aeropostale will display all men’s and women’s clothing, and accessories such as undergarments, swimwear, hats, caps, headwear, sleepwear and belts.
According to the application, all Aeropostale products certified by NFT are created for entertainment purposes, for anyone who wants to experience them in a virtual environment.
