Tron founder Justin Sun announces the end of his tenure as the ambassador of Grenada to the World Trade Organization.
Sun announced news on twitter and said, “I want to express my gratitude for the wonderful experiences and the amazing support that I have received during my time here.”
Justin Sun’s announcement came after the Grenada Broadcasting Network (GBN) reported that Sun had lost his position sometime after the June 2022 elections, when the National Democratic Congress overthrew the New National Party, which had appointed Sun to the post.
Justin Sun stepped down from Tron to become WTO ambassador for Grenada in 2021. Sun did deny the GBN report by sharing a screenshot that shows he has an active profile on the WTO’s internal registration website as the ambassador.
But later he contradicted his statements saying his tenure as diplomat ends on March 31st. Sun claimed one of the highlights of his tenure was serving as the head of Grenada’s delegation at the 12th Ministerial Conference (MC12).
Sun also reportedly engaged with all 164 members of the WTO during the period he served as “His Excellency.” He acknowledged that he gained valuable insights and perspectives on various trade issues as a WTO ambassador.
“As I prepare to hand over the baton to my successor, I am confident that the team will continue to pursue Grenada’s interests with the same level of commitment and diligence that we have demonstrated over the past two years,” Justin Sun stated.
