The leading protocol, Aave’s creator Marc Zeller, proposed deployment of its V3 lending protocol on the BNB Chain to expand its ecosystem beyond the Ethereum chain.
Mac Zeller’s proposal stated that the deployment will expand Aave’s presence and tap into the “growing DeFi ecosystem and user base of BNB Chain.”
Apart from this, another proposal has also been raised to enable Aave’s V3 deployment on Polygon’s zkEVM for better scalability.
Supporters must submit an Aave Improvement Proposal (AIP) for an on-chain vote prior to deployment. Alternatively, “Proponents need an Aave Improvement Proposal (AIP) for an on-chain vote before actual deployment.”
If the proposal passes with threshold votes, it would enable the deployment of Aave on BNB with the list of collateral digital assets, including BNB, WBTC, BETH, WETH, USDC, and USDT.
The proposal comes after the latest deployment of the leading Dex, Uniswap on the BNB Chain.
The proposal read: “Deploying Aave V3 on the BNB Chain presents potential benefits for both Aave and BNB Chain ecosystems. Aave would gain access to BNB Chain’s user base, DeFi ecosystem, and potential additional revenue. In return, BNB Chain would benefit from having a flagship DeFi project like Aave on its platform, further diversifying DeFi options available to its users.”
