Exciting news for Solana network users! Soon, you’ll be able to connect with the network through an open-source plugin activated on ChatGPT, OpenAI’s AI chatbot.
Solana Labs, the team behind the self-proclaimed Ethereum killer, recently announced the implementation of this new feature, which gives customers more control over the data associated with their accounts.
But that’s not all – Solana Labs now focuses more on AI. On April 25, the company announced it would provide $1 million in grants for projects that create AI tools on Solana. The ChatGPT plugin is just the beginning.
So, what can you do with Solana’s AI Plugin?Â
Quite a lot. You can check wallet balances, transfer Solana-native tokens, and acquire nonfungible tokens (NFTs) when OpenAI makes plugins accessible.
Plus, developers can use open-source code to retrieve on-chain data that interests them.
Solana Labs’s snapshot shows that ChatGPT can receive a list of NFTs held by a specific Solana address, including an associated metadata link to the NFT.
It’s unclear whether Solana Labs plans to activate the plugin when OpenAI makes it accessible to everyone.
The company also included a new “export” option, allowing customers to download their data and better understand the information that ChatGPT maintains.
