In a shocking turn of events, the CEO and Co-Founder of The Sandbox, Arthur Madrid, fell victim to a hacking incident that compromised his Twitter account. The breach has resulted in the dissemination of a scam/phishing link offering a fraudulent airdrop of SAND tokens.
The Sandbox, has promptly responded to the incident on Twitter, urging users to exercise caution and refrain from clicking on the malicious link.
Upon discovering the hack, The Sandbox swiftly issued a public warning, advising its followers and community members to disregard any posts containing the suspicious link. The Gaming platform stressed the importance of not engaging with the fraudulent offer and instead report the post to facilitate its removal from the platform.
The team at The Sandbox is actively working to mitigate the impact of the hack by pursuing measures to block the dissemination of the scam link.
This is not first time Sandbox is forced to deal with social media hacking as earilar their Instagram account was also hacked.

The account is back online, the scam link post is removed and a tweet that says, the account is back and a warning message urging everyone to stay away and not to click on any link that promotes Airdrop or URL and look SCAMMY – and not 100% using our proper and unique URL/domain name: https://www.sandbox.game/en/.
