The leading airline in Japan All Nippon Airways (ANA), unveiled a specialized marketplace for aeronautical-themed nonfungible tokens (NFTs) in partnership with its subsidiary, ANA Neo.
Ozawa’s inaugural digital photo, alongside the corresponding positive film, will be transformed into an NFT and made available for sale on May 30, as per developer announcements.
ANA has announced the upcoming release of the second NFT collection on June 7, featuring the converted image of ANA’s first operated Boeing 787 aircraft, with 1,574 items available for sale as 3D model airplanes at a price of 7,870 yen each.
ANA recorded revenues of $12.2 billion in its recent fiscal year and expressed intentions to expand its NFT product offerings, aiming to enhance customer experience value through NFT commercialization.
ANA initiated the development of its GranWhale platform nearly a year ago, initially focusing on creating a virtual travel experience utilizing technology such as virtual reality to replicate global destinations and cultures.
With intentions to enhance the customer experience on its platform, ANA has announced plans to expand its NFT offerings, aiming to establish a prominent position at the intersection of airlines and Web 3.0.
