In the midst of a recent decline and subsequent consolidation in non-fungible token (NFT) sales, the past 24 hours witnessed a surge in both the number and value of NFT trades, attracting the attention of these cyber criminals.
During these two days, the fraudulent activities primarily originated from four distinct sources on Blur. The notorious culprits go by the names of “#Fake_Phishing76183,” “#Fake_Phishing179766”, “#PinkDrainer”, and “#Fake_Phishing156212”. It’s a stark reminder of the constant vigilance needed to combat such threats in the ever-evolving world of digital collectibles.
On June 2nd, the notorious #Fake_Phishing76183, orchestrated a calculated heist on Blur, making off with three valuable NFTs. Among the stolen treasures were #PudgyPenguin #1141, #Gh0stlyGh0st #573, and #Gh0stlyGh0st #3034, swiftly sold for a hefty sum of 4.8 $ETH.And other 3 Nfts, including #Azuki #3688, #VaynerSportsPass #3667, and #VaynerSportsPass #3666 were stolen and have already been sold for 16.06 $ETH.
The day prior, on June 1st, According to PeckShield’s tweet, #Fake_Phishing179766struck, pilfering two prized NFTs from Blur. The victims of this audacious act were #Doodles #9340 and #ZombieClub.
The audacity of theft continued as the cunning #PinkDrainer seized the opportunity to snatch an impressive collection of 14 NFTs. Among the stolen items were highly sought-after pieces such as #Doodles #3582, #SappySeal #877, #BitcoinMiladys 1906, along with an approximate 1.38 Blur Pool ($ETH) and 0.478 Blur Pool ($ETH), #Otherdeed for Otherside #65611, #OpepenEdition #2443, #MiladyMaker, #Doodle #6853, #Bean #14446, 2 #RENGA, and #Otherdeed #54541, all falling prey to #PinkDrainer nefarious deeds.
Lastly, the crafty #Fake_Phishing156212 managed to make off with four valuable NFTs, including #MetaHeroCore #24, #Doodles #1501, #Doodles #1504, and the unfortunate victim, #Doodle #1500.
