The prominent founder of Twitter and current CEO of fintech firm Block Inc., Jack Dorsey, has announced his support for Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a pro-crypto Democrat presidential candidate.

Jack Dorsey, has expressed his endorsement and prediction for pro-crypto Democrat presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. When asked about his stance, Dorsey replied with a simple yet impactful statement: “both.” Kennedy, who hails from the renowned Kennedy political dynasty as the nephew of former President John F. Kennedy, announced his bid for the presidency on April 19.
As an environmental lawyer and outspoken anti-vaccine advocate, Kennedy has also emerged as a strong supporter of cryptocurrencies. During his keynote speech at the Bitcoin Miami Conference on May 19, he made waves by declaring his willingness to accept Bitcoin donations, specifying the ticker price of $26,821.
Kennedy’s admiration for Bitcoin extends beyond fundraising strategies. He views the leading cryptocurrency as an “innovation engine” while criticizing Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) as tools that could potentially amplify the government’s control by severing dissent through the stroke of a key.
Not shying away from addressing pertinent issues, Kennedy publicly denounced the Biden administration’s proposed tax on crypto mining on May 3. He expressed his disagreement with the suggested 30% tax on energy consumption, arguing that although energy usage in mining warrants concern, its significance has been somewhat exaggerated.
A recent poll conducted by Fox News on May 27 revealed that Kennedy has garnered support from 16% of Democratic primary voters. This figure is considered a noteworthy portion, particularly for a primary challenger against an incumbent president. Kennedy’s growing popularity signifies his potential to make a substantial impact on the race.
