Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced its next foray into the non-fungible token (NFT) market with its newest product – the Superman Web3 Movie Experience. Warner Bros. is set to sell NFT movie bundles of the iconic 1978 ‘Superman: The Movie’, starring Christopher Reeve and directed by Richard Donner.
These NFTs, powered by Eluvio’s content blockchain technology, offer secure ownership verification and can be bought, sold, and traded on Warner Bros.’s online marketplace.
With added bonuses like exclusive artist renderings by renowned DC artists and captivating image galleries, Warner Bros. aims to reignite the excitement among NFT enthusiasts and DC fans, fostering a passionate community.
Mark your calendars for June 9, when the Superman Web3 Movie Experience will be available for a limited time. Early access will be granted to loyal Warner Bros. NFT buyers. Choose from two editions: the $30 Standard Edition, featuring an interactive navigation menu, the theatrical version of “Superman: The Movie,” special features, and captivating image galleries; or the $100 Premium Edition, which includes three unique illustrations of Christopher Reeve’s Superman by different DC artists, multiple film versions, additional special features, and behind-the-scenes content.
To join this groundbreaking venture, fans can create an Eluvio NFT media wallet, serving as a secure “digital vault” for streaming and enjoying the content. Purchase options include credit card transactions or cryptocurrency payments, accommodating various preferences.
This release follows the success of the “WB Movieverse” series, starting with last year’s NFT movie bundle of “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring” (Extended Edition). Warner Bros. strives to deliver an even more immersive and interactive experience for fans, building on this momentum.
Purchasers of the Superman Web3 Movie Experience will also receive a complimentary voucher code for a DC3 Super Power Pack from the DC NFT Marketplace. Each pack contains three randomly selected Superman comics with varying rarities. Warner Bros. plans to release new themed packs regularly, keeping collectors and fans eagerly anticipating more surprises.
Warner Bros.’s venture into NFTs pushes the boundaries of digital entertainment, exploring the immense potential of this emerging technology. It delivers an interactive and collectible experience that Superman enthusiasts have longed for, showcasing the studio’s dedication to innovation and fan engagement.
