Prominent figures from the entertainment and fashion industry, including supermodels Kendall Jenner and Kate Moss, musician J Balvin, artist Jeff Koons, and filmmaker Baz Luhrmann, are set to judge an upcoming NFT (non-fungible token) competition.
The event, organized to benefit The Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR), will form the organization’s first-ever NFT collection.
The competition, which is open for entries until July 9, invites creatives to submit their digital artwork to a panel via Prospect 100, a digital voting platform designed to facilitate the contest. The goal is to select unique pieces that will form amfAR’s first-ever NFT collection.
The charitable cause has already made its first foray into the world of NFTs with its “Moon Phases” hat collection. Comprising 125 individual NFTs, the digital collection represented a novel approach to fundraising for the organization.
This upcoming NFT competition aims to build on that success and generate more support for amfAR’s mission of ending the global AIDS epidemic.
In line with the charitable spirit of the competition, 100% of the proceeds generated from the NFT sales will be directed towards achieving this mission.
The combination of high-profile judges, the growing popularity of NFTs, and the noble cause behind the event promise to make the competition a significant milestone in the worlds of art, charity, and digital assets.
