In a recent tweet, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin expressed his concerns about the US policy approach to cryptocurrency. Responding to a Twitter user’s question, Buterin stated that he feels bad for Solana and other affected projects, emphasizing that they do not deserve the consequences they are facing.
He further remarked that if Ethereum were to “win” solely because other blockchains were forced off exchanges, it would not be an honorable victory and may not even be considered a true triumph in the long run.
Buterin went on to highlight an important point, stating that the real competition for cryptocurrencies is not among various chains but rather the rapidly expanding centralized world that is asserting its dominance. He expressed his desire for all honorable projects to achieve a fair outcome in the current situation.
The comments by Buterin shed light on the challenges faced by cryptocurrency projects like Solana which has been accused of selling unregistered securities by the regulatory authorities.Â
