The Swiss Football Association (SFA) and Credit Suisse have joined forces to launch a groundbreaking NFT art collection, aiming to foster and financially back women’s football in Switzerland.Â
The collection, composed of 756 non-fungible tokens (NFTs), will be available exclusively through the CSX app, starting July 11, 2023.
In a move blending art, digital technology, and sports, the entirety of the net proceeds from the NFT sales will directly support national team players and budding young female football talent.
This collection features digital portraits of players and extends additional benefits to buyers, including physical artwork, signed jerseys, and exclusive meet-and-greet sessions.
The NFTs, which embody Credit Suisse’s innovative approach to the Swiss digital asset market, were brought to life by renowned Swiss artist Daniela Filippelli. These digital assets have been minted on the Ethereum blockchain, ensuring a secure and regulated environment.
Unlike typical crypto transactions, the NFTs can be securely purchased and stored within the CSX app without the need for external wallets or cryptocurrencies. Payments are conveniently made in Swiss francs via direct account debit.
This initiative illustrates Credit Suisse’s long-standing commitment to women’s football in Switzerland and its innovative capacity to harness emerging technology for social good.
Through the fusion of sports and technology, this collaboration exemplifies how creative partnerships and sponsorships can improve conditions and propel the sport toward greater equality.
