The metaverse creation platform Redbrick Inc. has announced an MOU with Alibaba Cloud for the creation of a Web 3.0-based metaverse to expand the brand’s presence in the Asia-Pacific Region.
Alibaba Cloud already has a significant presence in the global B2B and B2C sectors prominently seen in the Asian market. Redbrick aims to leverage this market strength for its expansion in Asia.
Thanks to Alibaba Cloud’s robust infrastructure, Redbrick plans to offer a comprehensive software creation platform capable of developing immersive 2D and 3D games and metaverse content.
According to Gartner’s data, Alibaba Cloud is a top IaaS provider in the Asia-Pacific region, with a large number of regional data centers in Southeast Asia.
The agreement goes beyond simple market expansion. Both parties are actively discussing cooperation with companies in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and other Southeast Asian nations to promote Software as a Service (SaaS)-based metaverse services.
Redbrick’s CEO YANG YEONGMO said, “Southeast Asia including Singapore is one of the regions with the highest degree of interest in metaverse across the globe”, and “expansion of the scale of creator economy market is the basis for the production of high-quality content, which is the reason we’re trying to reach the global market actively, starting off in Asia”.
The collaboration between Redbrick Inc. and Alibaba Cloud will support the expansion of the Web 3.0 metaverse in Asia-Pacific, particularly Southeast Asia. This partnership will also strengthen the presence of Chinese companies in the Web 3.0 space.
