On the 13 July tweet, Decentraland announced great news for the artists and collectors that Metaverse Art Week is back for its 4th consecutive year and will take place in Decentraland July 19-23!
In addition to talks, tours, and parties, this year’s edition of #MVAW23, organized in collaboration with art collective Vueltta, will display the immersive works of over 60 artists across numerous exhibitions and installations under the defiant theme ‘The metaverse is dead. Long live the metaverse’.
Metaverse Art Week unveils a captivating fusion of digital creativity, showcasing the transformative power of the digital realm. Curated by Vueltta, a renowned international art collective, the event promises an array of extravagant, bold, and innovative artworks that push boundaries.
Embracing the newfound freedom of the bear market, artists have taken daring creative risks, leading to experimental collaborations that redefine the boundaries of art. Metaverse Art Week 2023 serves as a platform for these risk-takers, connecting them with galleries and collectors who continue to support their groundbreaking work.
This year’s Metaverse Art Week features several brilliant underground digital artists. So far, the following installations and artworks have been confirmed:
- RARE PEPE culture by DecentraPEPE Shrine;
- MESH, a 3D art fair by Vueltta;
- HERE & NOW by Michael Beets;
- VERTEX by Tangpoko & GucciToe.
As a result, Metaverse Art Week includes a number of entertaining activities. Vueltta has planned a unique gathering for each event day, including rave parties, ’70s New York vibes, and even Blade Runner-inspired future settings. Casa Roustan, Dollhouse, Sugar Club, and MetaParty are some of the key organisers of these events.
