The crypto payment processor platform, Alphapo’s hot wallets are hacked for over $23 million on Ethereum, Bitcoin and Tron. The amount of stolen BTC via this hack is still uncertain.
ZachXBT, a popular cryptocurrency analyst on Twitter, announced the hack adding that the stolen funds were swapped for ETH and bridged to Bitcoin and Avalanche.
Following the news, HypeDrop, a customer of Alphapo, disabled the withdrawals stating, “Our provider is currently working to solve some recent issues from their side. They are facing problems specifically related to withdrawals of BTC, ETH, and TRX, as well as deposits for ETH and TRX.”
A prominent DeFi security platform, DeDotFi said the hack may have been caused by private key leakage.
Alphapo is a payment processor for numerous crypto gaming and gambling service providers including HypeDrop, Bovada and Ignition. It offers instant payments supporting more than 30 digital assets and fiat currencies.
This is another hacking incident in recent time as previously Conic Finance was hacked for over $3.2 million last week.
