In a recent incident, the crypto payment processor platform Alphapo fell victim to a significant hack, resulting in a staggering loss of over $23 million across Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Tron.
Renowned cryptocurrency analyst ZachXBT disclosed the incident in a Tweet, revealing that the perpetrators converted the stolen funds into ETH and then bridged them to Bitcoin and Avalanche.
But, in a recent update on the hack, it has been discovered that an extra $37 million has been stolen from TRON and BTC, adding to the previous losses and bringing the total amount stolen to a staggering $60 million.
Cryptocurrency analyst ZachXBT, who initially reported the incident on Twitter, pointed out that the attack bears the distinctive hallmarks of Lazarus, a notorious hacking group known for leaving a unique fingerprint on-chain.
