The renowned motorcycle brand,Ducati, is set to make its debut in the web3 space by launching its first-ever NFT (non-fungible token) collectibles on the XRP Ledger, founded by Ripple. The announcement comes more than a year after Ducati revealed its plans to embrace web3 technology.
The timing of the launch is notable, as it follows a partial legal ruling in favor of Ripple in the United States. However, the exact connection between the ruling and Ducati’s NFT launch remains uncertain.
The first Ducati collectible, set to be launched on July 26, is a captivating video history that showcases the iconic Ducati logos featured on the tanks of motorbikes produced since 1946.
As with most NFT drops, early adopters of the first collectible will have priority access to subsequent project releases. However, further details about Ducati’s future plans in the NFT space are yet to be disclosed.
To bring this project to life, Ducati partnered with Web3 Pro, a brand engagement and loyalty agency with ties to another Italian brand, Lamborghini, which owns Ducati.
Ducati’s foray into NFTs is expected to captivate motorcycle enthusiasts and collectors alike, as the brand embraces the potential of blockchain technology and web3 platforms to offer unique digital collectibles, creating new avenues for engagement and loyalty within its passionate community.
