The metaverse company, Everyrealm, backed by celebs like Will Smith and Paris Hilton among others, has settled three lawsuits filed against it, including the sexual harassment and descrimination case.
The former strategic partnership director Teyo Johnson alleged Everyrealm CEO Janine Yorio that he committed verbal sexual harassment and racial descrimination against him. Johnson claims that Yorio made derogatory comments against black employees.
In another allegation against the company, the former HR director Katherine Yost said that she was discriminated against because of her disabilities. Former product manager Gatsby Frimpong also filed a lawsuit alleging sexual harassment.

“Our confidence in Janine Yorio as an ethical and effective CEO has never wavered.” company’s board said adding that the allegations do not reflect Janine’s character or Everyrealm’s culture. The company has paid a total of $127k as a result of these three allegations.
Everyrealm is backed by Will Smith, The Weeknd with other several high-profile celebrities such as Paris Hilton and Marc Anthony. The company has also received investment from crypto-native investors including a16z, Coinbase, Lightspeed Ventures and Animoca Brands.
