In response to the emerging prevalence of digital crime, the National Crime Agency (NCA) in the United Kingdom has made a significant move in crime prevention by expanding its digital assets investigation team.
According to the official job posting, the NCA of the United Kingdom is currently recruiting four senior investigators to join its Complex Financial Crime Team. The focus of these investigators will be on handling crypto-related crimes.
This particular position falls under the jurisdiction of the recently established Digital Assets team. Its focus revolves around addressing sophisticated cryptocurrency fraud, money laundering, and various forms of blockchain-related criminality orchestrated by organized crime entities.
The ideal candidate should possess the ability to work collaboratively with fellow investigators, as well as members of the intelligence and analysis teams, to build intricate cases using data and evidence from diverse sources. This role is London-based, requiring investigators to cooperate closely with a surveillance team and the Metropolitan Police.
Additionally, the job post specified that candidates for this position must possess a current or active Professionalising Investigation Programme Level 2 accreditation or any equivalent government-issued qualification related to investigative crime.
Moreover, the salary for this role ranges from £34,672 to £38,314 ($44,145 to $48, 782.92), accompanied by various civil service benefits. Furthermore, candidates may also be eligible to receive an additional London Weighting of £3,595. Additionally, a role based in Chelmsford/Stevenage will receive an extra South East allowance of £2,876.
