The former president and 2024 Republican nominee, Donald Trump holds up to $500,000 in an Ethereum wallet, according to a filing submitted to a federal ethics agency.
It is mentioned as a “cryptocurrency wallet (Ethereum)” with a value between $250,001 and $500,000 on the second to last entry of the 82-page form. A filing contains information about a listing of assets and other sources of income belonging to the former president.
The wallet appears to be linked to a line of NFTs launched by his campaign as part of his attempt to win the next White House election in 2024 after losing to President Joe Biden in 2020.
Trump released a collection of NFTs featuring images of him last year, and they sold out in hours. In April, the same happened again when he released the second series of cards, but it started to lose momentum.
