To continue the celebration of BAPE’s 30th anniversary, Adidas and BAPE have unveiled a limited edition sneaker NFT collection called the “Triple-White Forum 84 BAPE Low”.
Adidas launched just 100 pairs of these limited-edition sneakers, which will be actioned with a “digital twin” NFT and can wear in the Metaverse. It will be the first-ever NFT auction in partnership with Moonpay.
To straighten out the innovative collaboration, the ‘Fresh Forum’ launch is supported by the Adidas /// Studio (Three Stripes Studio) as a limited edition, product-linked NFT drop. The launch presents a unique chance to own a pair of sneakers because only 100 NFT passes are available.
Sneakers are designed with BAPE’s iconography, a shooting star motif on the sides, and the logo of “A Bathing Ape” embossed in metallic silver foil. To contrast the earlier camouflage designs, this one has a white colorway, that tied with a story about a “pristine laundrette, located in the heart of a mysterious desert.”
Each physical pair of sneakers are also equipped with an NFT chip placed on the left tongue. When the user scans that with a smartphone, they can access its NFT-based certificate of authenticity.
The Adidas Originals x BAPE “Fresh Forum” access pass NFT auction will start on August 22 and be live until August 25. The auction will happen on Adidas Collect. The 100 auction winners can start using Adidas sneakers collected on September 26 to exchange their tokens for actual sneakers and digital twins, with shipping expected to start in October.
