A widely acclaimed blockchain entity, Polygon Labs, has joined forces with SK Telecom, a prominent South Korean wireless telecommunications company with a history in film distribution. This collaboration is set to invigorate the global Web3 ecosystem, marking an exciting development.
As outlined in the press release, the strategic partnership memorandum of understanding (MOU) was formalized on August 17th between Polygon Labs and SK Telecom. The focal point of this agreement is the cultivation of cooperation within the Web3 ecosystem at SK-T Tower in Euljiro, Seoul.
The shared objective of this collaboration, as articulated in the statement, is to further bolster the ongoing expansion of the Web3 ecosystem. This will be achieved by identifying, nurturing, and providing backing to emerging Web3 startups.
Marc Boyron, CEO of Polygon Labs, expressed, “Polygon Labs has been developing the optimal blockchain technology for the popularization of Web3, and we expect that collaboration with SK Telecom will be an important opportunity to provide Web3 experiences and services to more consumers.”
As part of this partnership, the integration entails that SK Telecom’s NFT marketplace, TopPort, will extend its support to the Polygon blockchain. Simultaneously, Polygon Labs will play a role in bolstering SKT’s Web3 services within the expansive Polygon global ecosystem.
Additionally, it was conveyed that the mutual decision has been to collaboratively seek out domestic Web3 startups and provide them with incubation support.
