The security of digital assets is at risk as a phishing site has taken control of the authentic Terra website. Users of Terra have been given a warning to be careful and not respond to any engagement happening on the compromised official website.
Kiruse, a web3 developer at Terra, posted on Twitter that the phishing site is assuming the identity of the official Terra website. Its primary objective is to trick users into disclosing their confidential information.
The domain for the website, terra(dot)money, is presently being investigated for its involvement in a phishing scheme. Users are asked to patiently await further updates that will ensure a secure and complete access process.
After the incident, the official Terra account is telling users to only use their official communication channels, specifically X (Twitter), Discord, and Telegram. This helps make sure that the information they get is real and trustworthy during this uncertain time.
The hackers have gained control of the official website to acquire sensitive user information by tricking users into revealing their seed phrase, putting their key and fund security at serious risk.
