A Web3 domain provider, Unstoppable Domains (UD), has launched an instant messaging system using the Web3 messaging network XMTP.
The system is called “Unstoppable Messaging”, a Web3-native way to chat with friends, stay updated on projects, and foster vibrant communities with decentralized, end-to-end encrypted messaging services through Web3 domain.
Unstoppable Messaging will be fully interoperable with any messaging platform on XMTP. It enables platforms like Coinbase Wallet and Lens apps to send messages by typing a wallet address or domain. The same thing will be there for those who are using an XMTP-enabled messaging app.
Unstoppable Domains will introduce the ability for dApps and other businesses to use Unstoppable Messaging, powered by Push Protocol, in near future.
To initiate the first conversation using Unstoppable Messaging, the user has to click the chat bubble and configure Reverse Resolution for their Web3 domain in the Manage tab. It will be available on the Unstoppable iOS app and website, while Android users have to wait until next week.
“Your messages will be preserved and accessible to you no matter what happens to Unstoppable. It’s another way we’re giving you ownership over your identity data,” reads the announcement.
