The crypto fin-serv giant, Robinhood, announces that it has added support for Bitcoin (BTC) and Dogecoin (DOGE) for self-custody crypto wallets. The Robinhood Wallet now also supports Ethereum swaps, allowing users to exchange ETH for over 200 other ERC-20 tokens.
In order to make the wallet more versatile and user-friendly, and open up new possibilities for crypto users, Robinhood added Bitcoin and Dogecoin to their Wallet, which previously only supported Ethereum and ERC-20 tokens.
“We’re excited to add Bitcoin and Dogecoin to Robinhood Wallet,” said Christine Brown, Head of Crypto at Robinhood. “These are two of the most popular cryptocurrencies in the world, and we’re glad to give our users the ability to store, send, and receive them.”
The addition of Ethereum swaps is also a significant development. Swaps allow users to exchange one cryptocurrency for another without having to go through an exchange. This can be a more efficient and cost-effective way to trade crypto.
Robinhood Wallet is available to all users in the United States who have a Robinhood account. The wallet is available as a mobile app for iOS, while Android device users are still waiting to get one.
