Mayur Kamat, the head of products at Binance, has resigned after working for nearly two years with the crypto giant. His resignation is the latest in a string of executive departures from the company.
Mayur Kamat, confirmed his departure, saying he is leaving Binance for “personal reasons.”
Mayur Kamat said, “It is time for me to step down and transition product leadership to Binance’s next-gen leaders.”
Before Mayur Kamat left, other important people had already left Binance, including Patrick Hillmann, the company strategy in charge, and Hon Ng, who was the top lawyer. Leon Foong, in charge of Binance’s operations in Asia-Pacific also left Binance.
Mayur Kamat joined Binance in April 2022, previously, he worked with some well-known companies like Google, Microsoft, and Agoda.
While working with Binance, he played a significant role in expanding the user base from 80 million to more than 150 million in just 18 months.
Mayur Kamat, expressing his gratitude, said, “I have worked closely with product leads to ensure a seamless transition. It is also a good time for me personally to take some time off after 20 years of non-stop product work. It has been an experience of a lifetime working at Binance and seeing our user base grow.”
He added, “Thanks to CZ and the entire leadership team for this amazing opportunity. I will be cheering Binance from the sidelines.”
