Yuga Labs, the company behind the Bored Ape Yacht Club, is introducing a 13-week cipher puzzle series related to their TwelveFold art collection.
Bitcoin Ordinals collections, TwelveFold was launched by Yuga Labs in February 2023, having 300 unique generative art pieces engraved into satoshis, the tiniest unit of Bitcoin and uses a 12×12 grid to illustrate data cartography on the Bitcoin blockchain.
Over the first 12 weeks, they will release a new puzzle called the “Moon Puzzle” every week. The puzzle solver gets prize of 0.12 BTC, about $3000.
Yuga Labs clarified on X (Formerly Twitter), “There can only be 1 winner per puzzle. If two people submit the right answer in the same Bitcoin block, we’ll accept the answer with the lower inscription number. Winners will be notified by email.”
These puzzles are unique because answers must be carved on individual units of Bitcoin called “satoshis” using Ordinal Theory. To participate in this, one must pay a Bitcoin fee ranging from $4 to $8 depending on network traffic.
In the thirteenth week, TwelveFold will unveil the grand and most exciting puzzle called the “Sun Puzzle.” The prize solver for this ultimate challenge will win a valuable Yuga Twelvefold Ordinal.
According to TwelveFold’s website, the first puzzle has already been solved. The puzzle included six pictures that appeared to illustrate Twelvefold Ordinals, along with a clue: “Having two together during hibernation can make all the difference.”
This individual solved the puzzle by observing that each of the six images combined two sets of numbers that indicate order or sequence.
The answer of this puzzle comes out to be “Jigsaw”, as the numbers user got, matched up with the letters of alphabets.
