The founder of Polygon, Sandeep Nailwal, refuted the allegation of the dumping of 6 million $MATIC tokens on Binance in the last 2 days, worth around $3.35 million.
The rumour spread after a blockchain analytics platform, Lookonchain, allegedly posted a tweet about transferring 6 million tokens from “Polygon Foundation: 0x8d36” to Binance.
In the same tweet, Lookonchain also mentioned a deposit of 4.6 million $MATIC ($2.57M) to Binance in the last 30 days.
However, Polygon Labs CEO Marc Boiron responded first to Lookonchain’s tweet, saying that the Polygon Foundation did not control the wallets in question.
Sandeep slammed Lookonchain for “incorrect labelling” for the second time. Sandeep also appealed to the crypto community to watch out for tweets that create FUDs and panic about $MATIC in the market.
