The hacker behind last week’s $41 million Stake theft has transferred another $328k of MATIC and BNB tokens in their latest move on September 11.
The hack was executed last week with the hacker gaining access to hot wallets and successfully stealing $41 million from Stake. While it was among the biggest hacks in the crypto ecosystem, the event also received attention from the FBI with it accusing North Korea’s Lazarus Group for the hack.
Blockchain security firm, Certik reports that the Stake hacker moved 520k MATIC and 300 BNB tokens – combined total of approximately $328k – to an externally owned address and further it bridged to Avalanche.
These funds adds to the $4.5 million of previously moved assets that were bridged to Bitcoin on September 7, claims the blockchain intelligence firm Arkham.
With this latest transaction, the hacker has moved $4.8 million, while the remaining $36 million is still split between ETH, BNB, and MATIC in the same addresses.
