Sushi, a leading multi-chain decentralized exchange (DEX)Â is teaming up with Chainlink for its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP).Â
This integration technology will enable a trusted bridge that connects different major blockchain networks like Arbitrum, Avalanche, Ethereum, Optimism, and Polygon securely for Sushiswap users.
Sushi works on more than 25 different blockchain networks. One of the standout features is SushiXSwap, which allows users to easily exchange tokens between different blockchains.
Sushi is integrating with Chainlink CCIP, which brings powerful capabilities like Arbitrary Messaging, Token Transfer, and Programmable Token Transfer to the platform.
This integration fits perfectly with the goal of making cross-chain token swaps smoother for the users and is set to go live in Q4 2023.
“We’re pleased to support secure and reliable cross-chain swaps on Sushi via Chainlink CCIP. This integration will deepen liquidity and pave the way for a Web3 economy that could encompass over a billion users,” added Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer, of Chainlink Labs.
One more great thing about CCIP is that it’s very adaptable when it comes to dealing with tokens that are connected through different methods.
It makes things simple by handling all the different ways tokens can work, so no matter how a token is connected through SushiXSwap, it will be a smooth experience for users.
Chainlink has a strong reputation for being secure and dependable in the world of Web3. To make things even safer, there’s a special system called the Risk Management Network.
This system keeps an eye on cross-chain operations to make sure everything is okay and to detect any suspicious activity before it becomes a problem for users. So, it’s like an extra layer of protection to keep users safe while using SushiXSwap.
Jared Grey, Head Chef at Sushi, said, “We’re thrilled to integrate Chainlink CCIP into Sushi. The protocol not only makes cross-chain token transfers highly secure and reliable but also enables us to expand SushiXSwap’s functionality and further strengthen Sushi’s position as a multi-chain leader.”
