Today, Yuga Labs, the company known for Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), released a trailer for an upcoming documentary series connected to their book about the famous CryptoPunks collection.
The CryptoPunks documentary series is a collaboration between Yuga Labs and NFT Now, a digital media platform that’s leading the way in tokenized media.
This venture follows the announcement made in June, disclosing a collaboration with Zak Group to create a book about the history of CryptoPunks, with input from the community.
CryptoPunks, renowned as one of Ethereum’s advanced NFT projects, was created by Larva Labs’ creators, Matt Hall and John Watkinson, who are among the distinct voices to be featured in this upcoming documentary series.
The first episode of the docuseries will be released on October 10, which will provide an understanding of one of the most notable NFT collections in history.
CryptoPunks has made significant contributions to the art world, including support for institutions like the Institute of Contemporary Art in Miami and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
This partnership goes beyond just celebrating the rise of pixelated portraits to million-dollar artworks; it delves into the ethos and community behind them.
This documentary becomes a crucial cultural artifact, preserving the memories of this central era in digital art’s evolution and its significant role in shaping the future of the internet.
