A Cosmos-based Layer 1 blockchain, Injective, has partnered with Caldera to launch the inEVM Layer 2 Solution, which utilizes the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). This initiative aims to enhance transaction speed and compatibility for Ethereum developers while also expanding opportunities within the Injective network.
The main advantages of inEVM are speed, quick transaction confirmation, flexibility, shared liquidity, and compatibility with Cosmos and Solana. This release follows Injective’s launch of inSVM, a Solana Virtual Machine rollup solution, allowing Solana developers to expand their reach without major code changes.
A spokesperson stated, “inEVM is part of Injective’s larger plan to introduce a network of Electro Chains. In essence, this consists of a series of rollups with dedicated VM environments that would cater to the needs of distinct builders while still providing the highest levels of scalability and security,”
With inEVM, decentralized applications (dApps) can seamlessly migrate on Cosmos and Solana apps, streamlining development and interoperability across various virtual machines.
Injective’s goal is to make Web3 technology more user-friendly and collaborative, fostering decentralization in the blockchain realm. They also have plans to introduce innovative solutions like Altlayer and Espresso Systems to further decentralize their network.
