Trevor Jones, a popular NFT artist, has raised $140,000 to support the cancer treatment charity fund – Maggie’s Edinburgh.
According to a UK Fundraising report, the funding of £114,000 was raised at a charity exhibition and auction at an event called Web3 Castle Party near Paris, organized by Trevor Jones.
The funds collected in this event are recorded as the highest single donation in Edinburgh Center’s 27-year history. Funds will be directed towards helping over 4000 cancer patients who are in need of financial support.
The auction took place from September 3 to 5, featuring artworks from 30 artists who were chosen from a pool of over 400 applicants. Notable artists like Pak, Hackatao, Jose Delbo, Pascal Boyart, and XCOPY artworks were included in the auction.
“The funds raised will make a huge difference and will go to support services for those affected by a cancer diagnosis, patients and their families,” Trevor said. “This is certainly a wonderful way to remember such a beloved artist, also taken by this disease.”
A spokesperson from Maggie’s Edinburgh said that this supportive fundraising is a result of the “support and enthusiasm of the NFT art community.”
