Crypto exchange OKX announced an interactive competition, the OKX Crypto Cricket Cup, alongside the 2023 international cricket championship in India. The competition aims to encourage participants to comprehend Web3, grab exclusive cricket-themed NFTs, and contest for a claim of a prize pool worth over $200,000.
The participants must complete tasks, refer friends, and learn about OKX’s Web3 products. In exchange, they will receive prizes, including airdrops of commemorative NFTs that represent real cricket teams participating in the international cricket championship.
Those who hold the NFTs symbolizing the champion, runner-up, and third-place team in the real-life tournament will split the prize pool winnings of 50,000 USDC, 30,000 USDC, and 20,000 USDC, respectively. Furthermore, other prizes, like token giveaways, will be awarded to the participants during the campaign.
Users can increase their chances of landing a champion, runner-up, or third-place team by collecting more NFTs through exploring the OKX NFT marketplace or completing Web3 channels. The competition will run from October 5 to November 5, and after November 27, the final prize-giving will take place.
During the initial phase, which starts on October 5, eligible participants can receive NFTs by sharing about the campaign on social media. The participants can complete Web3 quests on the Polygon chain through OKX Wallet in the second phase, starting on October 9. By referring friends to the competition, any user can get rewards from the start of October 16.
The NFTs feature cricket-themed designs related to cricket teams, including India, Australia, Bangladesh, England, Afghanistan, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, and Sri Lanka.
