Ava Labs, the primary company behind the Avalanche blockchain, has hired two employees who used to work for Polygon and OKX to expand its presence in India.
Devika Mittal, who previously held the role of managing listings at the cryptocurrency exchange OKX, has now joined Ava Labs as the head of their operations in India. Kamakshi Arjun, formerly the head of partnerships in India at Polygon Labs, has taken on the role of business development lead for India at Ava Labs.
They aim to help Avalanche gain more recognition and use in the Indian market. This means they will be working on increasing the popularity and adoption of the Avalanche blockchain in the country.
Mittal mentioned that Ava’s focus in India will be on areas like ticketing, certification, supply chain, and more. She explained that Ava will replicate its successful international partnerships within the Indian market.
As an illustration, she mentioned recent collaborations, such as the one with SK Planet’s electronics and entertainment company Dreamus, which aimed to enhance the ticket booking process. Additionally, earlier this year, the Indian game streaming platform Loco joined forces with Ava to develop new and improved fan interactions on the Avalanche platform.
