On October 30, Nazara Technologies introduced a new branch called Nazara Publishing, aiming to take advantage of India’s growing prominence in the global gaming industry.
Through this division, Nazara Technologies plans to release games created by Indian developers across the world. Additionally, they plan to collaborate with international developers to adapt and introduce their games to the Indian market.
Nazara, with a particular emphasis on aiding Indian developers, identifies a substantial potential within the “Make in India” campaign. As a part of this effort, the company will actively encourage Indian game developers on a global scale.
Nazatra intends to introduce approximately 20 games within the next 18 months, spanning mobile, web3, virtual reality (VR), and personal computer (PC) platforms, with a commitment to invest at least Rs 1 crore per game.
Nazara Technologies is expanding its services to game developers. They will offer support in various areas such as game design, adapting games for different regions, analyzing player data, testing games before release, improving how games make money, and helping with getting games to players through advertising and partnerships with gaming platforms.
This is a significant step for Nazara because it’s the first time they’re moving beyond mobile gaming into other types like PC, Web3, and virtual reality (VR) gaming. Developers will also get guidance from experienced industry leaders like Mittersain, Nazara’s Chief Operating Officer Sudhir Kamath, and Akshat Rathee, one of the founders of Nodwin Gaming.
