Strike, a payment platform built on Bitcoin’s Lightning Network, is investigating reports on the internet that suggest it might have experienced a security breach but so far they have not yet discovered any proof to confirm these claims.
The company said in an email, “Our security team has been investigating these claims, and at this time, there’s no evidence that Strike was breached.”
A few hours before Strike replied, an online investigator named ZachXBT noticed and mentioned in their Telegram channel that some individuals had reported receiving emails that seemed suspicious.
A Twitter user named @bitcoin_eagle posted on his timeline, “Strike, when did you leak your customer emails?”
He added, “I just received a scam email … to an email address that I only gave to info@strike.me.”
