Atari is back with its exclusive Members Only NFT jackets!! It is launching new versions of its retro-inspired Atari Club member jackets, reminiscent of the ones from the 1980s. These navy blue zip-up jackets will be up for purchase starting from Thursday until December 1, but they are exclusively available to those who own Atari’s ARC NFTs.
These new jackets are made from a thicker, more substantial material, and the Atari logo is now embroidered onto the jackets instead of being a removable patch. This collaboration is official and is done in partnership with the Members Only fashion brand, which was popular in the 1980s, just like Atari.
For people who own the ARC NFT, which was introduced in May, there are some special perks. They get early access to merchandise, the ability to vote on certain matters, and discounts. Additionally, they can access a presale of these new member jackets.
However, please note that these jackets won’t be shipped to buyers until around February or March of 2024. In the meantime, fans can buy Atari patches from the publisher’s shop and attach them to their jackets when they receive them.
Atari has been exploring ways to incorporate blockchain technology into its activities for about six years. Tyler Drewitz, who is in charge of Atari’s crypto-related initiatives as the director of Atari X, mentioned that the company is still investigating how blockchain can revolutionize the gaming industry.
Drewitz anticipates that we might see crypto-powered games being developed within the next six months to a year.
