A gaming-focused Ethereum scaling team, Immutable, announced that three new upcoming games, GensoKishi Online, Cursed Stone, and Sailwars, have been dedicated to building on Immutable zkEVM, a Zero-Knowledge (ZK) proof-based scaling rollup, in advance of its mainnet launch early next year.
Andrew Sorokovsky, VP of Global Business Development at Immutable, said, “We’re delighted to announce that these exciting new titles have already recognized the immense potential of zk technology, choosing it to power the next phase of their development.”
He added, “Based out of Australia and Asia, these visionary teams align perfectly with Immutable’s strategic focus of fostering the growth of web3 gaming across the Asia-Pacific.”
As per the announcement of November 2, among the three new games, Sailwars is a multiplayer strategic war game supported by Disney China, Alibaba Cloud, and 27 other investors. It is now the goal of at least twelve game developers to develop on Immutable zkEVM.
Moreover, Immutable zkEVM is backing GensoKishi Online, a metaverse-based remake of the well-liked Elemental Knights Online game that has amassed 8 million downloads and won honors in Taiwan.
By tapping blockchain technology, developers of GensoKishi aim to establish a new economic system in their fantasy world. This new system will provide new spaces, experiences, entertainment, and full ownership that were made possible thanks to decentralization.
Recently, GensoKishi started working with Square Enix, a well-known Japanese game company, on Symbiogenesis, an NFT art project.
Last but not least, Cursed Stone is a 3D open-world web3 MMORPG that gives users the option to customize and enhance NFTs for their in-game avatars. Users can freely exchange in-game NFTs, giving the recipient access to all the goods and unlockables linked to the asset.
