In a recent airdrop by the NFT marketplace Blur, an NFT trader who goes by the pseudonym “hanwe.eth” managed to acquire approximately $11 million worth of Blur (BLUR) tokens.
This individual claimed a total of 22,851,000 BLUR tokens during the season two airdrop, according to data from Dune Analytics, and is currently valued at $11.2 million at the time of writing.
Blur uses the end-of-season airdrop as a tactic to entice traders to engage with its platform. After each season, Blur distributes rewards to users who participated in NFT trading on their platform.
The amount of rewards is determined by the user’s activities within the NFT trading space. In the latest airdrop, Blur set aside a total reward pool of 300 million tokens, equivalent to $146 million based on the current value of BLUR tokens.
About 38,000 addresses have successfully obtained their rewards, bringing the total claimed tokens to 267 million. Nevertheless, some individuals are not content with the Blur rewards they receive at the end of the season.
