Nansen’s customers are being targeted by scammers through email scams following a data leak from one of the company’s third-party vendors. The cybercriminals are sending phishing emails to the affected customers, pretending to offer fake airdrops.
These emails falsely claim that the recipients are eligible for a Nansen airdrop. The data breach in September has made these customers vulnerable to such fraudulent activities. Nansen already warned its customers of potential phishing scams after the data breach.
A fraudulent letter, pretending to be from Nansen, falsely claims that customers have the chance to acquire $NANSEN tokens through a so-called “exclusive opportunity.” The letter includes a harmful link.
Reports suggest that scammers are sending these phishing letters using an email that seems to be associated with networkforgood.com. As of now, Nansen has not made any official statements about this issue.
