Animoca Brands, a leading company in the field of digital entertainment, blockchain, and NFTs, has announced that it has become the largest validator on the TON blockchain, a scalable and secure platform for decentralized applications and smart contracts.
According to the press release, Animoca Brands has deployed over 300 nodes on the TON blockchain, which accounts for more than 50% of the total network capacity. The company has also invested in the TON Crystal (TON) token, the native currency of the TON blockchain, to support the development and adoption of the platform.
Animoca plans to use its position as a validator to bring blockchain-based games to Telegram’s 800 million users. The company will also provide funding, research, and an analytics platform for third-party TON ecosystem applications.
The partnership between Animoca and TON is a significant development for both parties. Animoca will gain access to a vast user base and a growing blockchain ecosystem, while TON will benefit from Animoca’s expertise in blockchain gaming and its strong network of partners.
